Apprentice / Entry-Level Technician
Start a hands-on career in commercial security and low-voltage systems while learning alongside experienced AGE technicians.
AGE Integrated Solutions is seeking an Apprentice / Entry-Level Technician who is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable learning technology, and ready to build a career in the field. Prior professional security or low-voltage experience is not required. We are looking for someone who wants to learn the right way to install, test, document, and service integrated systems.
What you will do
- Work alongside experienced technicians on access control, video surveillance, intrusion/security, structured cabling, networking, and related low-voltage systems.
- Learn proper cable routing, support, termination, labeling, device mounting, testing, cleanup, and jobsite organization.
- Assist with device installation, system testing, photos, documentation, material handling, and closeout tasks.
- Learn to read plans, device schedules, labels, and field documentation and understand how they translate to the finished system.
- Follow jobsite safety requirements, protect customer property, maintain tools and materials, and represent AGE professionally.
- Build troubleshooting, networking, programming, commissioning, and customer-service skills as experience grows.
What we are looking for
- No professional security-integration experience is required; construction, electrical, IT/networking, electronics, mechanical, technical-school, or other hands-on experience is helpful.
- Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, attention to detail, and ability to take direction and improve from feedback.
- Comfort working with hand tools, ladders, mobile devices, and technology in active commercial environments.
- Valid driver license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
- Interest in access control, cameras, networking, electronics, fire/life-safety systems, or a long-term skilled-trades technology career is strongly valued.
Experienced Field Technician
Experienced low-voltage technician for installation, service, troubleshooting, and customer-facing field work.
AGE Integrated Solutions is seeking an experienced Field Technician who can work confidently in active customer environments and take ownership of quality field execution. This role is hands-on and is a strong fit for a technician with real-world experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting integrated low-voltage systems.
What you will do
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain access control, video surveillance, intrusion/security, and related low-voltage systems.
- Read plans, device schedules, labels, and field documentation and translate them into clean, organized installations.
- Terminate, test, label, and verify field devices, cabling, power, network connections, and system interfaces.
- Document work accurately, including service findings, device information, photos, and closeout details.
- Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts, project leads, and the AGE office team.
- Maintain jobsite safety, vehicle/tool organization, and AGE workmanship standards.
What we are looking for
- At least 2 years of relevant commercial low-voltage, security integration, access control, video surveillance, alarm, or similar field experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, practical TCP/IP/networking knowledge, and the ability to work independently in the field.
- Comfort using mobile devices, digital service forms, photos, and job documentation.
- Valid driver license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
- Experience reading blueprints/submittals and working with manufacturer software, programming, commissioning, or remote diagnostics is strongly valued. Manufacturer certifications and fire-alarm experience are a plus.
Lead Technician
Experienced field leader for complex installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, crew coordination, and quality control.
AGE Integrated Solutions is seeking a Lead Technician who can own the technical execution of projects in the field. This position is for an experienced technician who can lead by example, coordinate other technicians, solve difficult system issues, and ensure installations are complete, documented, and ready for customer turnover.
What you will do
- Lead field execution for access control, video surveillance, intrusion/security, networking, and related low-voltage projects.
- Coordinate daily technician assignments, site priorities, material needs, and installation sequencing.
- Read drawings and project documents, identify field conflicts, and communicate required changes before they become closeout problems.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, programming/commissioning support, device verification, and system quality-control checks.
- Mentor field technicians and reinforce AGE installation, documentation, labeling, safety, and customer-service standards.
- Provide accurate progress updates, punch-list information, as-built changes, and closeout documentation to the office/project team.
What we are looking for
- At least 5 years of relevant commercial low-voltage/security integration field experience, including demonstrated responsibility for complex work, project ownership, or crew leadership.
- Strong knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion/security systems, structured cabling, TCP/IP networking, programming/commissioning, and advanced field troubleshooting.
- Ability to lead technicians while still performing hands-on installation, testing, commissioning, quality control, and customer turnover.
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, and customer-facing skills.
- Valid driver license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
- Manufacturer certifications, advanced networking knowledge, project leadership experience, and fire-alarm experience are strongly valued.
